Northbrook Man Charged with Resisting Arrest

The following reports were provided by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt.
Felony Theft
On May 27, officers charged Susan M. Emery, 44, of Hainesville, with a felony theft after she made unauthorized purchases totaling about $150,000.00 using her company’s credit card and checking account, according to police.
Resisting Arrest
On June 1, officers charged Omar Abdelhamid, 18, of Northbrook, with resisting arrest after he struggled with officers who were called to investigate a scene on the 3500 block of Tamarind Dr., according to police.
Burglary
On May 31, someone on the 2600 block of Lisa Ct. reported an unknown male came into the residence and distracted the two occupants in the back yard while someone else entered the unoccupied home and stole items from a bedroom dresser, according to police.
Underage Drinking
On May 29, police wrote tickets to seven seven teens from Northbrook and surrounding suburbs for underage drinking, according to police. The teens were pulled over by an officer after someone saw them leaving a house whose owner was out of town, police say.
