Northbrook Man Headbutts Cop During Arrest

The following reports were provided by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests and charges do not guarantee guilt.

Warrant Arrest
On Dec. 1, officers stopped Andrew Russell, 21, of Northbrook, for a traffic violation, according to police. Officers then discovered he had a warrant for his arrest from the Cook County Sheriff, police say. He was arrested and charged with conditional release violation/disorderly conduct, consumption alcohol by a minor, no tail light and expired registration, according to police. 

DUI, Resisting Arrest, Battery
On Dec. 8, officers pulled over Philip A. Sales, 20, of Northbrook, for a traffic violation, according to police. Officers determined the defendant to be 
DUI, police say. Sales was placed under arrest, and while being placed into the squad car's rear seat, he head butted the officer, according to police. He was charged with DUI, Illegal possession and transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, disobey stop sign, resisting a peace officer and battery, police say. 

Warrant
On Dec. 4, officers arrested Robert Budzik, 19, of Northbrook, after he was in a traffic accident, according to police. Officers discovered a warrant for his arrest from Buffalo Grove, police say. 

Drug Paraphernalia
On Dec. 4, officers stopped Isaac Gabriel, 33, of Northbrook, for a traffic violation, according to police. The officer detected a cannabis odor coming from the vehicle, and found pot and a pipe after searching the vehicle, police say. Gabriel was arrested and charged with expired registration and possession of cannabis paraphernalia, according to police.
