A Northbrook man arrested for the 65th time on charges of aggravated domestic battery pled not guilty in Cook County Circuit Court in Skokie Tuesday.

Franscisco Tirado, 27, a resident of unincorporated Northbrook, was arrested in September after he allegedly brutally beat a woman over the course of 24 hours and threatened to kill her children, according to court documents. He is charged with two counts of aggravated domestic battery and one count of aggravated unlawful restraint, all felonies. He is also charged with two separate misdemeanor counts of domestic battery and one misdemeanor count of interference with emergency communications in connection with the same incident.

The charges stem from an incident that began the night of Wednesday, Sept. 21, when Tirado allegedly came home very drunk and beat his girlfriend so violently that one of her eyes swelled shut. The following day he assaulted her again, then threatened to kill her 5-week-old and 16-month-old children, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.
