Northbrook Man With Syringes Arrested After Throwing Things Over Bridge

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Oct. 17, officers responded to the 300 block of Pfingsten Road for a report of a man in a puffy, red coat throwing things over the Pfingsten Road bridge onto the Edens spur, according to police. Officers found Nathan J. Guarente, 35, of Northbrook, who matched the description, police say. He was arrested when officers found a drug kit and numerous syringes in his possession, according to the report. 

Stolen Car Recovered
On Oct. 15, the Hodgkins police department recovered a car that was stolen in Northbrook on Oct. 5, according to police.
