Police Activity

  • While investigating a recovered stolen auto, police evidence technicians recovered fingerprints on property left in the car. The crime lab was able to match those prints to two men that had been arrested for a string of motor vehicle burglaries in November 2012. One of the men was picked up at court by detectives on Thursday, Jan. 24. He confessed that the stolen car had been the one he and his accomplices used to come to Northbrook to burglarize cars. A second arrest is forthcoming.

  • Detectives were able to identify the offender in two separate theft cases that occured in October. The offender was employed as a dog walker for both victims. She was charged with two counts of misdemeanor theft in Northbrook. She was also charged in three other jurisdictions.
