Northbrook Woman Turns Self In For Felony Theft

Felony Retail Theft
On Dec. 14, officers responded to a report of a retail that that just occurred with the offender running from the scene as loss prevention was approaching him, according to police. Store security saw the offender remove tags from store's items and placing them on more expensive merchandise, police say.

Officers checked the area for the suspect, and found him sitting at the bar of a restaurant on the 100 block of Skokie Highway, according to police. His vehicle was located in a parking lot with an assortment of theft tools and other contraband inside, according to the police report.

Officers charged Volodymr R. Yarmolyuk, 34, of Chicago, with felony retail theft and two counts of felony fake ID possession, according to police.

Felony Theft
On Dec. 10, [Name Withheld], 39, of Northbrook, turned herself in for stealing $400 worth of coins and $500 worth of gift cards from a home she was hired to clean, according to police. She was charged with felony theft, police say.
