The following report was part of Northbrook's weekly staff memo.

The Northbrook Fire Department received a call from Wisconsin’s Kalahari Resort management expressing gratitude in regards to a close call they had recently.

A 14-year-old girl became unresponsive in one of their pools, when resort guest and Northbrook Paramedic Eric Pelot jumped in to assist. He and resort lifeguards removed the girl from the water and performed CPR, including AED activation, for several rounds until local Emergency Medical Services arrived.
