One Woman Pulls Another's Hair Over Parking Lot Dispute, Police Say

A Northfield woman was arrested on battery charges Friday after another woman opened her car door and hit her vehicle.

A grocery store parking lot dispute turned serious Friday when one woman pulled another woman’s hair and hit her in the neck, police report.

Juana K. Greening, 36, of Northfield, was arrested and charged with battery after she allegedly attacked another customer in the Sunset Foods lot, according to police.

“When one lady opened her door, she kind of hit the parked car next to her, which led to some words, which led to the woman who was arrested grabbing the hair of this lady and pulling it,” said Officer Michael Shep, Supervisor of Community Relations with the Northbrook Police Department.

“So it was like road rage, I guess you could call it?”

According to Shep, the woman who was attacked hit Greening’s parked car with her door, and the two continued to argue as they walked towards the grocery store. After Greening allegedly hit the other woman, she continued on into the store. The other woman called police, and Greening was arrested inside Sunset Foods.

“I guess somebody had a bad day,” Shep said.

Greening is set to appear in Skokie Circuit Court April 8.
