Party Reports Lead To Juvenile Drug Possession Charge

The following reports were provided by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt.

Criminal Damage

On March 30, someone on the 600 block of Greenwood Road in Northbrook reported metal BBs were fired at his house, damaging a rear (west-facing) window, according to police. The outer pane of the window was damaged but the BB did not penetrate the inner pane, police say. Reported damage is about $800.00.

Burglary

Between March 23 and 24, someone forced open a window at the Korean Covenant Church at 950 Northbrook Ave., entered the building and removed $40.00 from a glass bowl in an office, according to police.

Theft

On March 26, someone removed a 12-inch bronze bell and a winged pig sculpture from the front yard of a home on the 5200 block of Arrowwood Drive., according to police. Reported loss is about $200.00.

Drug Possession

On March 26, officers responded to the 1700 block of Happ Road amid reports of a loud party, according to police. A juvenile at the residence allowed officers to look inside the house after liquor bottles were observed on a table from outside, police say.

Numerous liquor bottles were found in addition to baggies of a green leafy substance, and a “vaporizer" smoking device, according to police. No other juveniles were inside the house, and the offender was issued three tickets, police say.
