Police: Men Arrested After Home Invasion

Two men were arrested by Northbrook police after a report of a home invasion on Valley Rd.

The following reports were provided by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt. 

Home Invasion

On Dec. 25, police say they arrested Bastri Feka, 23, of Des Plaines, and Igor Vargun, 19, of Glenview. Feka was charged with criminal trespassing and theft, Vargun was charged with possession of cannabis, police say.

That day, a man on the 2100 block of Valley Rd. found an unknown person on the first floor of the man's home, according to police. The unknown person hit the man before fleeing through a back door, police say. 

Police en route to the man's Northbrook home observed a car matching the unknown person's description, Feka and Vargun were inside and Feka was out of breath, police say. Vargun had an arrest warrant from the Cook County Sheriff's Department, according to police. Both men were detained with bond pending, according to police.

On Dec. 23, a couple was at a restaurant on the 200 block of Skokie Blvd., upon returning to their vehicle, the couple found the front passenger side window had been smashed and a $1000 Gucci purse was removed, according to police.
