Police Recovered Art Piece Worth $85K

No arrests were made in the recovery of "Ex Nihilo Fragment Figure #2," which has been missing for five years.

No arrests were made in the recovery by Northbrook and Chicago police of “Ex Nihilo Fragment Figure #2,” a bronze sculpture owned by the Northbrook-based Chase Group that's been missing for five years, according to the Northbrook Star.

The men who had the piece told police they bought it at a Morton Grove storage facility for $5,000, and further investigation could not tie the men to the art's original burglary, the Northbrook Star reports.

On Feb. 7, Northbrook police took a report on a missing art piece that was stolen during a 2007 burglary after its Northbrook owner lent it to a Chicago gallery.
