Rapper’s Speeding Ticket Leads to Jail Time for Pot
Chief Keef was sentenced to drug testing after a speeding arrest in Northfield. That testing resulted in jail time.
Keith Cozart, aka the rapper Chief Keef, has been ordered to spend 20 days in jail after testing positive for marijuana on a court-ordered drug test, according to the Chicago Tribune. That drug test was the result of a speeding on the Edens in Northfield this spring when he was clocked traveling 110 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Cozart, 18, paid $531 to resolve the speeding case and was placed on 18 months of probation that included random drug testing, the Tribune reports. One of those random drug tests showed marijuana in his system, and he was sentenced to the jail time Tuesday.
