Teen Arrested for Retail Theft

Also in this Northbrook Police blotter, a man turns himself in for the theft of an iPhone.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest does not indicate guilt.

16-year-old arrested for retail theft

A 16-year-old from Chicago attempted to leave a store in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road with $1,800.00 in merchandise. Store security stopped the girl after she passed the last point of purchase and said she had six belts in a white bag. She was released a parent and given a March 31 court date.

Mans turns self in for stolen iPhone

Roman Matyukhov, 21, of Niles, turned himself in at the Northbrook Police Department Feb. 6 regarding the theft of an Apple iPhone. He was processed on charges of theft and possession of stolen property and released on bond with a March 17 court date.

Windshield and hood scratched

A victim discovered that someone had scratched the windshield and hood of his vehicle in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road Feb. 22. There was no estimate of the cost to repair.       

Car keyed

A victim reported that her vehicle was scratched or keyed while parked in the parking lot in the 2000 block of Valencia Drive Feb. 19. No estimate of damage or cost to repair was given.
