Woman Charged After Monday’s Car Burglary Spree

There were 18 burglaries on Monday as well as several last week.

A Hanover Park woman has been charged in connection with Monday’s car burglary spree that led police to set up a perimeter in the area of Ash and Peachtree lanes, Northbrook police announced Wednesday.

Police received 18 calls about auto burglaries on Monday and set up the perimeter to try to catch the thieves. Police said they were looking for two men. Police had also received three calls about auto burglaries on April 18.

Bryanna V. Carbajal, 24, was stopped early Monday morning in a vehicle that matched the description of the one used in the auto burglaries, police said. Stolen property that had been taken from unlocked vehicles on April 18 was found in the car.
