Wrong Car Light Leads to Paraphernalia Charge

The following reports were provided by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations, and do not guarantee guilt.

Drug Paraphernalia
On Nov. 3, officers stopped a vehicle on the 3300 block of Dundee Road for having a red, oscillating light for a turn signal, police say. Upon investigating the vehicle, officers found glass pipe and a grinder with green, leafy substance inside, police say. Michael P. Godzicki, 29, of Northbrook, with possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of an oscillating, red light, according to police. 

DUI
On Nov. 3, officers stopped Rida El Azri Ennassiri, 36, of Evanston, for a traffic violation near Waukegan and Voltz roads, and charged him with improper lane usage, no driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, DUI over .08 and illegal transportation of alcohol, according to police.

On Nov. 3, officers stopped Javier Avila-Luevanos, 23, of Northfield, for a traffic violation near Dundee Road and Division Street, according to police. He was then charged with improper lane usage and DUI over .08, police say.

Vehicular Burglary
On Oct. 29, three people on the 4000 block of Lake Cook Road reported smashed car windows and items stolen, according to police. Stolen items include backpacks containing a laptop, a camera and medications, police say.
