Five Seasons Proposal Costs, Tax Impact, Conceptual Drawings Presented July 29

The Northbrook Park District is holding a special meeting on its proposal to buy the Five Seasons club to turn it into a recreation center.

The following is from the Northbrook Park District:

On July 29, the Northbrook Park Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting regarding the proposed purchase of Five Seasons Family Sports Club for a multi-generational community recreation center. Project specialists will present the Park Board with the summary of their findings to include conceptual drawings, estimated construction costs, an operational plan with cost recovery projections, and the associated household tax impact. The meeting will be at 7pm in the Northbrook Theatre, located inside the Leisure Center at 3323 Walters Avenue.

Childcare will be available at the Special Board Meeting at no charge, but advance registration is necessary for staffing purposes. Anyone requesting childcare is asked to contact Wendy Friedman, Leisure Services Supervisor, at 847·291·2995 by July 28.

The Park Board of Commissioners will decide in August whether to place a referendum on the November ballot. The proposed purchase is contingent on approval of a referendum by Northbrook voters.
