In a poll prepared by Anzalone Liszt Research for Morrison, the West Deerfield Township supervisor is preferred by 46 percent of the 400 likely voters while 33 percent like Friedman. The poll was taken between June 20 and 24 and has a margin of error of 4.9 percent.
The Friedman campaign did its own polling in July but has elected not to release the information, according to campaign manager Paul Miller.
“It’s not politically smart to release an internal poll,” Miller said. “It would be an understatement to say we are pleased with the results.”
According to the information released by Morrison’s pollsters, it shows her ahead of Friedman by double digits among men and women and in both Lake and Cook Counties. She also leads among all education levels from those with a high school education to people with post graduate degrees.
The Morrison campaign released a research memo from Anzalone Liszt but did not distribute the complete polling information.
