Small, single-family homes clustered around a communal lawn could fill the vacant lot at 2600 Dundee Rd., Northbrook; village trustees recently heard a proposal from Omaha-based Essex Corp for the new development with cottage-style housing, Chicago Tribune reported.
The proposal consists of eight small houses in a cottage-style housing, that’s been popular on the West Coast but could be a shift for Northbrook, which has typically favored fewer people living in big houses on larger areas of land, Chicago Tribune reported.
