Northbrook Doctor Supports Obamacare Decision
For Lawrence Robbins, M.D., Affordable Care Act still "far from ideal."
In a , the United States Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act on Thursday. Patch sites were flooded with comments supporting and criticizing the controversial law, with a few users mentioning doctors' opinions on the matter.
A user called wrote, "I am sure that all of the doctors are going to worl long hours and weekends for little or no pay." Likewise, a user called wrote, "my many doctor friends are not in favor of this."
But , a neurologist at Northbrook's Robbins Headache Clinic, said the Supreme Court decision "makes a lot of things better."

"I’m happy they upheld it, I’m not thrilled with the legislation because they don’t address costs which is a big elephant in the room," Robbins said. "Many parts of it are crucial, our system was imploding and we had to do something. This is better than nothing, but it’s far from ideal."
"It makes a lot of things better," he added. "The only real negative thing is the whole cost issue, but for individuals overall it’s a net positive. It’s a good thing."
