Northbrook Residents Honored For Saving Man After Heart Attack

Sue Weszt and Brian Drake will be recognized for saving a man's life at the Northbrook Village Board meeting on May 14.

When Sue Weszt and Brian Drake saw a man unconscious in the 2000 block of Cherry Lane on the afternoon of April 14, they sprang to action, notifying Northbrook Fire Department and performing CPR on the man, Chicago Tribune reported.

On May 14, the Village of Northbrook will be recognizing Weszt, a cardiac nurse and Drake, a supervisor for the Evanston 911 center for their efforts in saving the man who had collapsed from an apparent heart attack while riding his bicycle, Chicago Tribune reported.

Correction: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated Weszt's age.
