Northbrook Trustees Approve Nonprofit Funding

Two Northfield nonprofits were among the seven organizations to get funding from the Village of Northbrook.

Seven local nonprofits applied will receive a combined $91,000 from the Village of Northbrook for the upcoming fiscal year, including Northfield's Josselyn Center and New Foundation Center, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Michael Scolaro, a Northbrook trustee and chairman of the village's administration and finance committee, told the Tribune the nonprofits who will receive funding, "really showed us the need that they're filling in the community."
