Traffic Snarls to Stay on Waukegan during Main Repairs

The curb lane of northbound Waukegan Road will remain closed until Tuesday, June 12 while the Village completes .

During this time southbound traffic will not be affected by the lane closure.

The Village is requesting that motorists using this road reduce their speeds and use caution. If possible use alternate routes to avoid delays.

Motorists are reminded that it is illegal to use a cell phone in work zones.

This work is the result of a main break June 4 on Waukegan north of Linden Road that reduced traffic to one lane northbound from Shermer Road to Linden.

This main break and others that Northbrook has experienced since April will be the focus of discussion at Tuesday's regular meeting of the Northbrook board of trustees. That meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at l.
