Should TIF Pay For Northbrook Road Improvements?
The Northshore 770 developers have requested tax increment financing to fund improvements to Dundee Road and Skokie Boulevard.
Developers for the Northshore 770 project at Skokie Boulevard and Dundee road have asked the Northbrook village board for $4.9 million in tax increment financing to pay for improvements to the Skokie and Dundee intersection, according to the Northbrook Star.
Developers want double left turn lanes from both sides of Dundee onto Skokie, but that would cost about $4 million, the Northbrook Star reports.
“This is an intersection improvement that’s needed to be done. It doesn't really have anything to do with our project,” Michael Nortman, one of the 770 developers told the Northbrook Star.
