9 New Mansions Going Up Along North Shore Lakefront

All are at least 10,000 square feet, two of which are complete already.

Nine new 10,000-square-foot-plus mansions are going up along the North Shore lakefront, according to Crain’s Chicago Business, which has a slideshow of the abodes in various stages of completion.

The homes, which are situated between Wilmette and Highland Park, range from a 19,000-square-foot French-style Winnetka manse to a contemporary Highland Park home for a LinkedIn exec to a home on the most expensive parcel in the already exclusive list, a 2.25-acre plot in Kenilworth that went for $9.71 million. It’s the land where U.S. Senate candidate Charles Percy home used to be, and where his daughter was murdered.
