Be a Match! Help Save a Life! Bone Marrow Event at Willowbrook School

Willowbrook School is hosting a Bone Marrow Registry Event for the community on behalf of Lacey Horwitch, an 8 year old Northbrook resident in bone marrow failure, due to her fight with two rare and simultaneous conditions:  HLH: Hemophagocytic Lymphohisotcytis and RTH: Resistance to Thyroid Hormone. None of her family members are a match to her bone marrow.

Anyone aged 18-60 can be tested to see if they are a match and to join the Bone Marrow Registry.  The initial test consists of a cheek swab, further tests are done only if some is a match with someone in need.  For more information, visit bethematch.com or call 1-800 MARROW2 or the Willowbrook office at 847-498-1090.
