North Suburban YMCA Hosts Prom Fashion Show

Students from six local high schools will model formalwear from That Girl Boutique and Men's Wearhouse.

The North Suburban YMCA will experience a glamorous makeover when it presents its first Prom Fashion Show, sponsored by the Y’s Junior Executive Board. Gorgeous gowns, tailored tuxes and all the traditional accessories for prom night will take center stage on Sunday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m., with students from six local high schools modeling formalwear from That Girl Boutique and Men’s Wearhouse.

The fashion show is the second major event sponsored by the Junior Executive Board, which was established last fall to promote youth involvement and leadership at the Y and in the community.

In September, the Board presented Y-Fest, a music festival for local teen bands that attracted 300 attendees and raised money for Erika’s Lighthouse. The fashion show’s proceeds will benefit the Y’s Strong Kids Fund, providing financial assistance for families in need to participate in YMCA programming.
