What Should Replace Northbrook’s Caribou?
The now-shuttered coffee shop leaves a prominent vacant space in downtown Northbrook. What would you like to see move in?
When Patch wrote about the closing of Northbrook’s Caribou Coffee last month, many of you spoke up about what you’d like to see move into its space at the corner of Shermer and Meadow roads.
Food was a common theme:
Comments on the Northbrook Patch Facebook page ran the gamut from a Dunkin Donuts or sit-down Thai place to a Glenview Grind or Argo Tea. A suggestion for a Mexican restaurant so residents could sip margaritas near the Village Green got a lot of support.

Retail and service businesses seem like a low priority, with many speaking up against another paint store. Others stipulated against a bank or dry cleaners.
