The Glenbrook North Spartans are reveling in the football team’s 49-0 win this weekend over Maine East, reports the Northbrook Star.
It is the football team’s eighth win in a row in the Central Suburban League, North, according to CSL Insider. Their overall record for the season was 8-1, with a perfect 6-0 record in the Central Suburban League North.
The win - which featured Glenbrook North shutting Maine East down - was the team’s last regular season game, according to the Morton Grove Champion.
This game was the fifth consecutive where the Spartans have scored at least 41 points, the Morton Grove Champion reports.
Next, they head to the playoffs, in hopes of getting their first playoff win since 2007, CSL Insider reports. They’ll be hosting Prospect High School at home. The exact times and locations will be released soon.
