Bears Game Fundraiser to Help Northbrook Family

A fundraiser for a Northbrook family facing mounting medical bills is scheduled around the Chicago Bears October 23 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The event will be held at Marcello’s, 1911 Cherry Lane, Northbrook,  from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23. All proceeds will go directly to the Ray and Joan Wehr family of Northbrook to pay medical bills for their 10-year-old son, Collin, who has been undergoing brain cancer treatments for the past 18 months. Collin is both a fighter and a consummate Bears fan. Marcello's will open exclusively for the fundraiser at 11:30 a.m. with several big screen TVs, pizza, salads, soft drinks, coffee, and desserts included. A cash bar will be available.
