District 31 Education Foundation's 3rd annual 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk

The community is invited to participate in the District 31 Education Foundation’s 3rd annual 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, September 25, at Techny Prairie Park and Field in Northbrook beginning at 9 a.m.

According to Nancy MacRae, Education Foundation Chairman, the purpose of the Fun Run/Walk is to promote wellness not only within the school district, but throughout the community in a fun and healthy way!

The “early bird” registration fees for those who register by September 17 are $15 for adults and $10 for students in kindergarten through high school. Children 4 and under are free. Race t-shirts and goody bags are only guaranteed for those who pre-register by September 17. The registration fees after September 17 are $20 for adults and $15 for students. Platinum donors to the District 31 Major Donor Campaign receive two free registrations.

Medals will be awarded to overall male and female 5K runners, the Corporate Team Challenge winner, and winners in each category for males and females by age groups. Age divisions are: 11 and under; 12-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60 and over. All proceeds will support technology enhancements for District 31 students at Winkelman School and Field Middle School, as well as teacher grants.
