St. Vincent de Paul Hosting Friends of the Poor 5K Run, Walk

Registration is open for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Chicago’s inaugural Friends of the Poor 5K Run/Walk.

The race is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 9 a.m. on a USATF certified course at Cannon Drive and Fullerton Avenue in Chicago. The event is limited to a maximum of 500 entrants, and registration for the event will close once the limit has been reached. The cost to run is $25 for students and $30 for adults. The cost for walkers is $25. Race day registration will be available from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and the cost is $35 for everyone.

Packet Pick-Up will be held at DePaul University Student
Center, 2250 N. Sheffield Ave., Chicago, on Sept. 19, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sept. 20, 3 to 8 p.m. Packets will be available during race day registration, but participants are encouraged to pick up their packets at DePaul University.
