GBN Girls Soccer Beats Maine West on Senior Night

Sophomore forward Rachel Hirshman led the team to a 6-2 victory over CSL North competitor Maine West on Tuesday.

Glenbrook North's girls soccer team put away six goals to Maine West's two in a home-field victory on Tuesday.

Early on, the squads were tied 1-1 when sophomore forward Rachel Hirshman went on a roll, scoring three goals to give the Spartans a commanding lead, according to CSL insider. Senior Samantha Lallas and freshman Maggie Washelesky added the Spartan's next two goals to bring the team to a 6-2 finish.

The win was even sweeter given that it was senior night. Before the game, the team recognized varsity seniors Samantha Lallas, Kat Pappas and Sarah Winter as well as JV seniors Catie Daab, Maggie Linforth and Jackie Shaps.
