Northbrook Speedskaters Win At National Championship
Young people from across the North Shore competed at the championship in Omaha, Neb. in March.
Northbrook's Nathan Lee earned fifth place in the 9 to 10 age group of a national speedskating championship in Omaha, Neb. that was held March 15 to 17, the Wilmette Life reports.
Other members of the Northbrook Speedskating Club that competed in the championship include Wilmette's Sera Lee, who earned seventh place in the 17-19 age group; Deerfield’s Eric Lapporte and Highland Park's Carl Tatelli who earned 14th and 15th place respectively in the 9 to 10 age group; and Northfield's Matthew Mirkovic, who earned 16th among 11-13 year olds, according to the Wilmette Life.
