Northbrook’s Jason Kipnis Signs 6-Year Deal with Indians
The GBN alum's contract extension is for $52.5 million
Northbrook native and Glenbrook North graduate Jason Kipnis has signed a six-year, $52.5 million contract extension with the Cleveland Indians, according to ESPN.
Kipnis is a 2005 GBN graduate and former PAC-10 Player of the Year at Arizona State University. He played his first major league game with the Indians in 2011.
ESPN calls him “one of the American League’s rising stars last season … he led the Indians in runs, hits, RBIs and steals.”
