The Spartans (16-6-3), , are an impressive 9-0 in the Metro North and will play at Warren and Highland Park in conference games after a Tuesday home against Prairie Ridge.

GIRLS BASKETBALL - Winter sports kick off this week with the Spartans taking part in the Mundelein Invite to launch the season. GBN opens Tuesday against Grayslake North and also plays Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday games in the tournament. The Spartans return seniors Rachel Blitt and Whitney Landman and welcome senior transfer Gracie Sanchez to the starting lineup and should fare better than last year's 6-24 squad.
