International Game Day Celebrated at Northbrook Public Library

International Game Day Celebrated at Northbrook Public Library on November 3, 2012

International Games Day @ the Library (everyone)
You wanna play?  For IGD12 we’re playing all sorts of games – boardgames, videogames, cardgames, scavenger hunts and… Dungeons and Dragons.

Game Stations (everyone)
Find a game table throughout the Youth Services Department and play!  Chess, checkers, Monopoly, Uno, Life, Connect 4—you name, we probably have it.  Or stop into the Activity Room to play our PS3 or Wii.
Saturday, November 3, 10-4 p.m. Youth Services Department

Dungeons and Dragons (Grades 6-12* registration required for a spot in the game)
That’s right, D&D – for those who want to learn how to play and for those who know how to play.  We’re bringing in expert D&D master, Terry Gant from 3rd Coast Comics to run the game.  Register for a spot in the game or stop by the loft to watch the demo.
Saturday, November 3, 11-1:30 p.m. The Loft

Teen Quest 2 (Grades 6-12)
For the competitive Teen - you’ll search, you’ll solve, you’ll decode.  This drop-in library scavenger hunt runs all day and should take about an hour to complete.  Get your copy of the Teen Quest at the YS desk.  Everyone who finishes the Quest receives a completion reward; however the person/team with the fastest time and the most correct answers wins a gift card.
Saturday, November 3, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Youth Services Department
