4th of July Parade Applications Due May 31

Groups and businesses from the community are invited to join this year's parade.

The Village of Northbrook has released the following information regarding this year's 4th of July parade.

The Northbrook Park District and the Village of Northbrook invite groups and businesses from the community to join the 4th of July parade. The two agencies are working together to coordinate this year’s holiday celebration, “Unity Through Community.”

"In keeping with the theme, the parade is a great way to connect the community, but we need more groups to sign up,” said Elsa Fisher, Director of Leisure Services at the Park District. “We hope that everyone who took part in previous years will come back. We’d love to see youth groups, school clubs, neighborhood groups, local businesses and community organizations that want to show their spirit.”

Northbrook has a long tradition of celebrating the holiday as a community, and other favorite activities will return this year, along with the official parade and bike parade.

“The tradition continues, beginning with the Liberty Loop 5K and the pancake breakfast, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Northbrook, followed by the annual Fire Department and Police Department Softball Game and an amazing Mile-Long Parade and ending with spectacular fireworks,” said Assistant Village Manager Phil Kiraly. “This is a wonderful way to celebrate our nation’s 237th birthday!”
