Dale Duda did it again. Is there a surer sign of summer than the start of Northbrook's farmers market?
The weekly market kicked off on Wednesday morning, with the traditional watermelon cutting and appearances by some of Northbrook's most familiar faces — Ron Bernardi of Sunset Foods, Village President Sandy Frum, Northbrook Fire Chief Mark Nolan and St. Norbert's Fr. Bob Heinz, just to name a few.
The market, organized by Duda, will be back every Wednesday through Oct. 9 at the corner of Cherry Lane and Meadow Road, rain or shine.
