The Week In Preview

Weekend Pattern- Showers and t-storms will develop over the weekend as a frontal boundary and upper-air disturbance move into the Upper Midwest. Storms will become most numerous late in the day and early Sunday with locally heavy rain and possibly some severe weather to deal with as a few lines move through the region. Storms will be most numerous over southern Wisconsin, northern and central Illinois, eastern Iowa and northwest Indiana.

Early to Midweek Pattern- Monday and Tuesday look dry as a ridge of high pressure builds into the region. Temps will be a little cooler with winds off the lake. A warm front pushing in from the southwest will cause a few showers/t-storms by late Wednesday.

Late Week Pattern- Isolated showers/t-storms are possible toward the end of the week as the frontal boundary stalls somewhere across the Midwest. There will be many dry hours through on Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures: Above average temperatures will continue with highs ranging from 85 to 90 through much of the period with higher heat index values. Daily lows will mainly range between 65 and 70.

Severe Weather Outlook: There is a risk of severe weather by Saturday night with an increased risk of gusty winds and heavy rain as a broken line moves through. (2.5/5 probability)
