Bassler & Co. Helps Beyond Sports Foundation
The Northbrook insurance brokerage has launched a Facebook fundraiser for the Highland Park-based charity.
Last Friday, the Northbrook-based indepedant insurance brokerage, Bassler & Co., has launched a fundraiser on their Facebook to collect likes in exchange for dollars donated.
For every new "like" the Bassler & Co. Facebook page receives before Nov. 1, they will donate $1 to the Beyond Sports Foundation.
Chris Bassler, a broker at the family-owned agency, said he picked the foundation based on their work — he had no previous connections to the charity.

EL Da' Sheon Nix, Director of Program Operation at Beyond Sports, said the money that comes in from Bassler's fundraiser will help fund the foundation's academic, athletic and social support programming.
"All the money's going to go to the youth," Nix said.
