Walmart's Second Public Input Meeting Monday Night

Monday
The second public input meeting community members are invited to share their thoughts on the proposed Walmart at 1000 Skokie Blvd. will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Center for the Performing Arts at Glenbrook North High School, 2300 Shermer Rd.

Tuesday
Northbrook's Board of Trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. in Village Hall. Items on the agenda include swearing in Officer Eric Gustason to the Northbrook Police and proclaiming October 2013 as "Domestic Violence Awareness Month" in Northbrook.

Wednesday
The weekly Northbrook Farmers Market meets at Meadow Road and Cherry Lane at 7:00 a.m. 

Books on Tap meets in the private room of the Landmark Inn to relax, talk books, and enjoy a tasty beverage and snacks. This week, Leah White leads a discussion of "Mr. Peanut" by Adam Ross, the story of a man who is obsessed by thoughts of his wife's death, then becomes a murder suspect when she is found dead with a peanut lodged in her throat.

The library's Wednesday Classic Film Series at the library continues with The Crowd at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday
The Northbrook Park District will have a registered pharmacist providing flu shots to adults on Thursday at the Leisure Center between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Appointments are not needed. Medicare Part B covers the fee for seniors who bring their cards.
