After Visiting Friends: A Son's Story by Michael Hainey
"Up for Discussion" is a new book group that will explore a variety of nonfiction selections - biography, history, social issues and others with a lively discussion, led by librarians Lori Siegel and Kara Giles. 

The first selection is After Visiting Friends by Michael Hainey, a memoir tracing the author's investigation into the mystery of his father's sudden death.

Glenbrook North Fall Band Concert
The Glenbrook North Bands invite you to the Fall Band Concert, which will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 24 in the Center for Performing Arts, 2300 Shermer Rd.

Celebrate the season at Sunset Foods in Northbrook with a Halloween Pumpkin Party on Saturday, October 26.   Families and friends can carve, create and decorate pumpkins on-site at Sunset, while enjoying delicious caramel apples and other fall goodies.
