The green expanse off busy Dundee Road was once occupied by a Coast Guard radar station complete with four radar towers. Today the 4.4 acres offer a playground, pathway and open field, as well as a memorial garden dedicated in honor of local veterans. Garden Club members planted red, white and blue flowers as well as yellow ones, which symbolize remembrance.
