In the past year Carol Sente has been fighting to protect a woman’s health care decisions. As some of you may know, Republicans have come up with the theory that when awoman is raped the rapist should be punished and not the child. Did you know that a rapist can seek custody in some states? Join me in voting for Carol Sente to make sure that Illinois doesn’t become one of those states so the women of today can be protected and well reassured. With Sincerity, Aaliyan Moore Deerfield

I have been so impressed with Carol Sente. I met her when she knocked on my door and asked me what I was concerned about. I have never had anyone in government ask me my opinions and concerns, and at that time I had a big concern. Carol came inside, sat down with me to listen to me, and followed-up with her office to help resolve my issue. It didn't matter whether she was a Democrat or Republican. She took the time to listen to me, care about my concerns, and help me. I wish we had more leaders like Carol Sente working every day for the residents of our community. Thank you Carol, good luck in the election! Sybil Stern Northbrook

Now, leaders in our state want to raise taxes on the responsible men, women and businesses that have already suffered more than their fair share. However, I agree with the thousands of people who have called, e-mailed, attended meetings or told me when I met them on their doorstep that they cannot afford a state income tax increase. The budget process in our state has been broken for years, and after I saw how bad …
