Paul Ryan (R-WI), now the Republican Vice Presidential nominee. Schneider has moved from calling for the expiration of all of the tax cuts passed in 2001 during the administration of former President George W. Bush to maintaining those tax rates for people earning under $250,000 per year. Dold has also evolved, discarding his pledge to Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform to never raise taxes to voting for the Cooper LaTourette budget which …

All insist American military action must remain an option.
When it comes to preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons, Rep. Robert Dold (R-Kenilworth) said Friday in Lake Forest he would not rule out military force from the United States as a way to keep an atomic bomb out of Iranian hands. “Israel is preparing now (for a preemptive strike),” Dold said. “The United States must keep all opportunities on the table. There must be a credible threat from the United States that sends a clear signal.” Dold gets no argument on this issue from the four Democrats seeking their party’s nomination in the March 20 primary to oppose him in the Nov. 6 general election. Democratic Congressional candidate has voted only twice since 2000.

According to the article, Tree voted in the 2008 and 2010 general elections. He did not vote in primary or municipal elections in the past because he wanted to maintain non partisanship as a colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve. “I have not voted in local non-partisan elections before for the same reasons regarding the military culture, even though at a very local level, I understand the races are not partisan,” Tree said to Patch today. Northfield Township party leaders urge endorsement of no candidate, enough members listen.
The Northfield Township Democratic Organization will not endorse a 10th Congressional District Democratic candidate for the March 20 primary after attacks by advocates of certain contenders left no consensus choice Saturday in Northbrook. Supporters of Waukegan community organizer Ilya Sheyman criticized Deerfield management consultant Brad Schneider for campaign contributions to Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Highland Park), while the 25-year-old Sheyman came under fire for his age. Nor have the Democrats in senate buged either, so if you are going to call out the Republicans, you have to do the same and say the Democrats haven't either. The House repeatedly keeps coming up with ideas that would save the country money and reduce the deficit, but the senate, controlled by those you support, have repeatedly blocked legislation, so don't act like Republicans are ignoring these …   more ›
