National Night Out Makes A Splash In Northbrook
Police, Park District host evening of family fun.
Meadowhill Pool was the site of Northbrook's National Night Out Tuesday, a community event held by the Northbrook Police Department and the Park District. "We're just here tonight to have a good time, enjoy the pool and prevent crime," said Police Chief Charles Wernick. Families gathered for some fun in the water, games, DJ entertainment, raffles and crime prevention tips. Despite a thunderstorm that ended the event early, kids and parents left with smiles on their faces. Northbrook's National Night Out was one of thousands held by police departments across the country on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
