Funeral services for Takfin will be held at Chicago Jewish Funerals in Skokie on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
The following obituary was provided by Chicago Jewish Funerals. Izak Taksin of Northbrook, born May 25, 1922, died Jan. 16, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Schandel nee Giler. Loving father of Aaron (Sheri), Joseph and the late Michael (Marilyn) Taksin. Proud grandfather of Sarah (Jonathan) Leon, Matthew Taksin, Bonnie (Scott) Walsh, Sam (Vicki) Taksin, Kara Taksin and the late Jared Taksin. Cherished great grandfather of four. Service will be held Thursday, Jan. 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd. in Skokie. Interment will be held at Waldheim Jewish Cemetery, 1300 South Des Plaines Ave. in Forest Park. Shiva will be held at the Taksin residence, 2931 Crabtree Lane in Northbrook.
