Super Bowl 2013: Game Time, TV Schedule, Where to Watch in Northbrook

The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Baltimore Ravens during Super Bowl 2013 on Sunday, Feb. 3.

Super Bowl 2013 is almost here, with the showdown of the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens just days away.  The XLVII Super Bowl will take place at 5:30 p.m. Sunday CBS-TV (channel 2). Super Bowl Food and Drink Specials in Glenview, Northbrook

The NFL playoffs are only getting started, but Pinstripes and Glenview House have already announced their game day specials. $4 beers and pizzas, anyone?

Football fans of all ages can feast on their favorite football grub while watching the game on the large flat screen TVs in the bar and dining room, plus in-booth TVs to catch every play. Reader's Choice Tie: Landmark Inn and Pinstripes

Where's the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Northbrook? The Landmark Inn and Pinstripes tied for first place.

This week, we asked you where your favorite place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day is. Turns out, readers split their vote between two local spots: Pinstripes and the Landmark Inn. If you can't decide between the two on March 17, why not visit both? Each is offering several St. Patrick's Day specials to entice revelers. At the Landmark Inn, Irish beers will be on tap and waiters will be offering up corned beef and cabbage, lamb stew, beef stew and Irish cheese-crusted cod. Three local businesses were recognized as "everyday heroes" Thursday night in Northbrook for their commitment to providing service to and employment of individuals with disabilities.  JJ's List, a nonprofit whose mission is to broaden the economic and social futures of people with disabilities, recognized the honorees during a benefit event at Pinstripes. Businesses recognized included Whole Foods Evanston South, Forrest's Duxler Complete Auto Care, and North Suburban YMCA. Appropriately, the evening's theme was "Celebrating Everyday Heroes".
