Live in Northbrook/Glenview School District 30? Trying to decide whom to vote for among the five candidates for four spots on the board of education? Before you hit the polls tomorrow, check out what they had to say. Northbrook Patch contacted each candidate with a list of questions ranging from district finances to teacher morale. Click on a name below to read responses for each candidate. *Yasmeen Bilimoria James Bream Chuck Gitles Scott Margolin *John Smith *Despite attempts, Patch was either unable to contact the candidate or did not receive responses to the questionnaire.
The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

If you weren't among the 379 people who came out to vote early at Village Hall, then Tuesday, April 5 is the day to cast your ballot. Although seats on the village board, park district board, library board and several local school boards are up for grabs this year, only one race is contested. That's the race in which five candidates are competing for four spots on District 30's school board. Also on the ballot for residents of School District 31 is a tax referendum that would raise taxes by $59 per $1,000 of taxes paid last year, according to school administrators. Today's Q&A is with James Bream, a Glenview resident who has served on the board of education for three terms, the past two as president. Today's Q&A is with Chuck Gitles, a member of the school board from 2005 to 2009 who served on the education, policy, finance, food service and buildings and grounds committees as well as a team that negotiated union contracts with teachers.
