Northbrook Podiatrist Charged With Evading $500,000 in Taxes
Podiatrist Randy L. Pachnik was indicted on nine counts of evading income and inheritance taxes.
A federal grand jury indicted Northbrook-based podiatrist Randy Pachnik on charges of tax fraud, alleging that he neglected to pay more than $500,000 in federal income taxes. Pachnik, 62, voluntarily surrendered to authorities on Friday after the indictment was unsealed, according to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice. He is charged with four counts of tax evasion, four counts of failing to file a federal income tax return and one count of obstructing the IRS from collecting taxes. Pachnik contracted with Preferred Podiatry Group in Northbrook and Midwest Physicians Group (now part of Advocate Medical Group) in Orland Park, according to the indictment.
